Terms of Service

The terms and conditions outlined in this Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all users of the Cathay Electronics website and services, collectively referred to as "Users." This constitutes a legal and binding agreement between Users and Cathay Electronics. By accessing the site or using the services, Users confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. Certain areas or features of the site or services may be subject to additional policies or guidelines, and Users must comply with them.

Cathay Electronics reserves the right to modify any part of these Terms at any time at its discretion. Users should periodically review this page for the latest version. The "Last Updated" date will reflect any revisions. Continued use of the site or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. However, changes will not apply retrospectively.

All obligations and restrictions applicable to Users under these Terms are binding on their Authorized Users, jointly and severally. Users are responsible for ensuring their Authorized Users comply with these Terms.

Interpretation

In these Terms:

"Content" refers to any data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other materials, including logos, trademarks, copyrighted materials, and Third-Party Resources displayed on the site.
"Event of Force Majeure" encompasses causes beyond reasonable control, such as acts of God, epidemics, strikes, floods, governmental orders, and more.
"Intellectual Property Rights" include registered or unregistered rights like copyright, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
"Cathay Electronics," "we," "us," or "our" refers to Cathay Electronics Pte Ltd.
"Parties" collectively means Cathay Electronics and relevant Users, and "Party" means any of them.
"Payment Method" is the User's accepted payment method.
"Personal Data" refers to data that may identify Users personally.

References to Clauses are to clauses of these Terms. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation. Singular includes plural, natural persons include bodies corporate, and words denoting any gender include all genders.

Account Registration

Users must register and maintain an account with Cathay Electronics ("Account") to use the services. By registering, Users agree to provide accurate information and authorize Cathay Electronics to collect, store, and process Personal Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Failure to provide accurate information may result in restricted access to the site or services. Cathay Electronics reserves the right to approve or refuse registration.

Users may not transfer their Accounts without written authorization. Users are responsible for Authorised Users and must ensure their compliance with these Terms. Users must keep their login credentials confidential and notify Cathay Electronics of any unauthorized use promptly.

Cathay Electronics may establish general practices and limits for site use, reserving the right to terminate inactive accounts. Users agree to receive informative or promotional emails but can opt-out.

Products

Cathay Electronics reserves the right to remove products or services temporarily or permanently without notice. Products are intended for domestic use unless stated otherwise. Prices are in Singapore dollars, and the total cost, including tax and fees, is reviewed at checkout.

Product images are for illustration, and descriptions should be reviewed for accuracy. While we strive for accuracy, errors may occur. In case of pricing errors, Cathay Electronics reserves the right not to honor them, with affected orders being cancelled and payments reversed.

Cathay Electronics products come with warranties, voided by misuse or unauthorized alterations. Prices and information may be adjusted at Cathay Electronics' discretion.

Promotional Offers, Discounts, Promo Codes, etc

Periodically, Cathay Electronics may run promotions subject to additional terms on the site. Promo Codes are subject to specific terms and are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and may not be combined. Users must comply with specified terms for Promo Code use. Cathay Electronics reserves the right to verify and void Promo Codes.

Free gifts offered during promotions are on a "first come first serve" basis. Cathay Electronics may change or cancel promotions at its discretion.

Payments

Users must provide a valid Payment Method. Cathay Electronics disclaims security liability for the selected Payment Method. Prices are subject to statutory taxes, duties, and fees.

Updates, Modifications, and Availability

Cathay Electronics may modify or upgrade the site features, reserving the right to make changes as needed. Users acknowledge potential interruptions or modifications to the site and agree that Cathay Electronics is not liable for such events.

Cathay Electronics may modify or discontinue the site or services at its discretion without notice.

Intellectual Property

Disclaimers

Indemnity and Release

Term, Suspension, and Termination

This agreement takes effect upon a User's site use and remains in force as long as the User continues site or service use. Cathay Electronics may suspend or terminate access for any actual or suspected breaches of these Terms, with or without notice. Termination results in the loss of access rights.

Provisions such as ownership, warranty disclaimers, and liability limitations survive termination.

General

No delay in enforcing any term constitutes a waiver. If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed without affecting remaining provisions. Parties are not liable for failures or delays due to Force Majeure.

This agreement is personal, not assignable by Users without Cathay Electronics' consent. Cathay Electronics may transfer, assign, or delegate this agreement without notice.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Singapore law, and Users submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts for any claims or disputes arising from these Terms, irrespective of their country of access or use.
